About Me
Hi, I’m April! I started blogging about trauma on Tumblr, and what began as a small personal space quickly grew into a supportive community of survivors. Over time, I began hosting trauma groups and connecting with others who were looking for validation, understanding, and ways to cope with big emotions.
I live in Canada with my partner and our four-legged friends, and this website is an extension of that original mission: creating a space where people can feel seen, supported, and understood.
I am not a mental health professional. This site is built on peer support. I take academic and clinical information about trauma and BPD and translate it into a more conversational, approachable format. So much of the information out there is hidden behind inaccessible language or written only for other professionals, and I want to bridge that gap.
Peer support has its own unique value. It’s about sharing lived experiences, offering validation, and providing practical insights that might help someone feel less alone. I always encourage visitors to take what resonates and leave the rest.
Here, you’ll find:
-
Reflections on my own experiences in BPD recovery and my trauma healing journey.
-
Peer support and validation for anyone navigating trauma, BPD, or other mental health challenges.
-
Trauma and BPD information explained in digestible, compassionate ways.
-
Self-care and grounding activities designed to help with emotional regulation, coping, and building skills in daily life.
I truly believe that both professional help and peer support are valuable parts of healing. My goal is to create a space that fills the gap between heavy clinical resources and the real people living these experiences. The ones who just need someone to say, “I see you, and your experience is valid.”
This site is not monetized, and it never will be. Ads are distracting, and I want this space to remain accessible. If you’d like to support my work, you can check out my stim toy business, Flappy Happy, or buy me a coffee.
